4th-10th October 2009 (World Animal Week 2009)

Pedigree and Whiskas will donate up to 100,000 meals for abandoned dogs and cats in SPCA’s and animal welfare charities nationwide. Pedigree and Whiskas will donate a much-needed meal for every pack bought in-store, and for every vote cast in their search for Ireland’s Best Loved Dog & Cat.

This year, Pedigree and Whiskas are searching for Ireland’s:

  • Best Loved Dog
  • Best Loved Cat

The winners of the search will be chosen based on how well they demonstrate their rewarding relationship with their beloved cat and dog.  They will be chosen from a judging panel that includes members from each animal organisation involved (VICAS, ISPCA, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, The Irish Blue Cross), along with passionate animal lover Linda Martin and Pet Behaviour Counsellor, Jim Stephens.

The PEDIGREE® Adoption Drive
30 January 2009 (The PEDIGREE® Adoption Drive)

All dogs deserve to be properly cared for as part of a loving family, but sadly, every year over 100,000 find themselves abandoned. The Pedigree Adoption Drive helps raise awareness of the problem and to donate money on behalf of our dog loving customers to help the charities who provide the care and safety that homeless dogs need whilst they are trying to find a loving home.

Jim is appearing on the Late Late Show on RTE1 on the 30th January and Today with Pat Kenny on the 2nd of February 2009 to help launch the second annual PEDIGREE® Adoption Drive.
