Make a booking
Before the consultation
After completing a booking, you will be sent an in-depth behaviour questionnaire to complete which will provide some important background information and will help in evaluating the cat’s behavioural issues in more depth prior to the consultation. If you can provide a video of the behaviour and a plan of the household this will also help.
After your consultation
At the end of the consultation, a diagnosis is made and the motivation for the behaviour explained. You will then be emailed a comprehensive Behaviour Modification Plan, normally within 2-3 days of the consultation, which you will be asked to follow. A copy of the report will be sent to your referring veterinary surgeon. We will keep in close contact following the initial consultation and you will be asked to contact Jim each week either by phone or email to discuss progress.
How many consultations will I need?
Most people find that the consultation and plan is sufficient for them to reduce and eliminate the problem behaviours. If a further session is required then this is charged at the normal virtual consultation rate.
Insurance Cover
If your cat is insured you may wish to check your insurance policy as many pet insurance companies will pay for behaviour consultations if carried out by a recognised qualified behaviourist.
Cancellation Policy
48 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or change your appointment. Failure to do so will result in a charge of 50% of the full fee.
- All refunds are processed minus the credit card charge if this was your method of payment as this is non-refundable.
- All other cancellation and refund requests are at the discretion of The Pet Behaviour Centre and dependent on individual circumstances.
